Tax information – Frequently Asked Questions

Taxation thresholds are changing with effect August 1, 2022. The new tax rates will be applied for any successful withdrawal requests made after 23:59 on 31 July 2022 (Romanian time). We recommend that players do not place withdrawal requests too close to this deadline to mitigate the risk that it is not processed until the next day, where ethe higher tax rates may be applied.

You are required to comply with the local legislation regarding taxation of income. For any tax inquiries, please make sure that you consult with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other tax professional, as we are not qualified to give out advice in this area.

Tax laws in Romania require an amount of every withdrawal from our site to be withheld in tax.

With effect from the August 1, 2022 the new rates are set out below.

Tax levels required by law

Withdrawal Amount % Withheld in Tax
Up to RON 10,000 3%
RON 10,000-66,750 20%
Over RON 66,750 40%

Example:
Withdrawal Amount: RON 30,000
RON 10,000 @ 3% withheld in tax = RON 300
RON 20,000 @ 20% withheld in tax = RON 4,000
Total tax = RON 4,300
Amount credited to player = RON 25,700
