GITALONG (1) made his stable debut for the Hayes yard at Moonee Valley and ran a great race behind a highly progressive mare, beaten under a length. Drops back in grade for this and draws to receive every chance on speed. Rates highly. WHISTLEFIELD (4) ran well first up at Warrnambool, just finding the well-backed stablemate too strong late. Should strip fitter for that and can go one better. CHARCOALS (8) resumes. He's a lightly raced 3yo gelding with a strong overall record, promising a bit more than he's delivered to date. Expecting he measures up. ALONG THE RIVER (3) resumes. He's inconsistent but has pieces of form that would go close in this. SOJU (7) is coming off a dominant win in easier company and can measure up.
