BRUCEDALE (1) is a Shaft gelding on debut for Peter J Morgan. Only seen once at the trials but impressed in a small field, pushing a smart one right to the wire. Will need a smart steer from the outside draw but looks above average. MOMENTICE (10) looks best of the exposed bunch. Showed plenty of early when resuming at Wodonga, only to be captured on the line. Is sure to have come on with that run under her belt and is expected to give backers another sight. EXPLOSIVE STYLE (4) is a Caravaggio mare making a late start to her career as a five-year-old. Impressed in a dominant trial win here on the Riverside track in readiness when showing blistering early speed. She'll be making sure they run along early. DER BLAUE REITER (3) was solid when resuming at Canberra. Is sure to have come on from the hit-out and gets a key booking in Heywood. In the mix. DEFLECTOR (15) didn't have a lot to offer in her debut prep but her recent trial suggests she's come back in good order. McDougall steers.
