LOS PADRES (2) opened this campaign with a couple of placings at the provincials then didn't have much luck at Kembla last time so it might be best to ignore that result. Has his share of weight but in this company he looks an outstanding chance. CHRISTMAS STAR (6) showed pace but weakened when resuming over 1200m at Queanbeyan recently. Raced over this course and distance on four consecutive occasions last prep for two wins and two placings. Hard to ignore those stats. STARLIGHT GIRL (4) returned to form last start in an open sprint over today's journey at Canberra. Can go on with it now. SELHURST PARK (8) doesn't win often enough but with the light weight is worth including in exotics. AEGIPAN (5) has been safely held in better races than this of late. Nicely in on 55kgs and this is more his level.
